Dear family,

It is an honor to SEE you here!

The Sunflower Education InstitutE (SEE) is a supportive network and global platform built with a vision to assist parents in nurturing agency and fostering enriching environments for families through learning and writing.

Drawing from my personal experience, learning and writing has been instrumental in my educational journey, aiding in self-reflection, securing scholarships, facilitating communication, and fostering personal growth.

SEE aspire to provide you and your family with access to invaluable learning resources, aiding in your collective growth. Discover more about the SEE vision, goals, strengths, and services, and embark on this journey of growth with us!

SEE Vision:

SEE aims to help family cultivate agency in children’s learning and educational arrangements.

SEE Goals:

SEE aims to support parents and caregivers cultivate their agency by building their unique identity, strengthening confidence, taking action, and gaining knowledge to help children (under 18 years old) learn and write.

SEE Power:

SEE was founded by a bilingual scholar and author who has been to schools in China and the United States, and who is grateful to the education systems that trained her to be the writer, the researcher, and the entrepreneur today. SEE is honored to have two additional founding partners join us, Yujie Si (management consultant) and Christina Schneider (educator and homeschool mother) on board in the year of 2024.

We hope to help families evaluate the home learning resources, and each family recognize the power of their unique characteristics and strengths.

SEE Slogan:

We SEE love in learning. We SEE power in writing.

What SEE offers family:

  • Writing and Evaluation Opportunities – SEE encourages children and parents to write and submit personal stories for SEE Love Corner and SEE AI vs Human Corner programs. SEE is also building a home learning resource evaluation system (Stay tuned).
  • Educational Resources – Access the SEE library of research and scholar reflections from the SEE Research Corner to help parents learn.
  • Support Groups – Connect with SEE parents of similar and diverse backgrounds and share experiences in a safe, non-judgmental space.
  • Community Outreach – SEE collaborates with nonprofit organizations, such as schools, homeschool co-ops, bookstores, and other education service providers, to create a supportive network for families.
  • Education Workshops – Our expert-led workshops cover a wide range of topics for parents and caregivers with school aged children, including mathematics learning material selection, parent strength building, and personal writings. (online and in-person workshops)
